Overview
Pacífico is the most affordable and practical neighborhood in the Retiro district. It serves as a major transport hub (Atocha is nearby) and is filled with traditional local commerce and 'everyday' Madrid life. It’s much more unpretentious than its northern neighbors. The tradeoff is that it feels more 'urban' and dense, with fewer of the tree-lined boulevards that define the rest of Retiro.
