Yes, but we highly recommend spending 2-3 days in Madrid if possible. You’ll learn a lot just by being here, neighborhoods, noise levels. There are things that videos can’t fully capture.

Do I need an NIE (Foreigner Identification Number) and Spanish bank account to rent or buy in Madrid?

While you can technically sign a rental contract with just a valid passport, most landlords will require you to have a NIE and a Spanish bank account. Most utilitiesand internet services also require you to have both. For property purchases, an NIE is mandatory for the notary signing and tax payments. We guide our clients through the entire NIE application process as part of our onboarding, ensuring your paperwork is ready before you find your dream home.

If your plans change early (e.g., your employer sends you elsewhere), we’ll refund the deposit as long as we haven’t started scheduling visits.

No, 80% of our client start the service remotely and we do handle remote viewings and digital signings.  That said, we strongly recommend coming one week in Madrid to view the apartment but also the neighborhood you are going to live in in person.
